Have you ever wanted to break free from the mundane and complacent? Have you wanted to fill your gray world with color and life? This March at The Summit, learn how to finally PUSH through the barriers that keep most from experiencing God’s best!

We had originally planned to do CSI: Seymour – An Investigation Into the Existence of God. However, God really put a burden and drive to do something different…I just didn’t know what until this past Thursday. So, everyone chipped-in and in record time we put together new graphics, ordered new wristbands to give out on Sunday; ordered our new invite cards, ceated a new set design (I think it will blow your mind) and created a 30 day challenge to PUSH ourselves to walk deeper with God.

More important than any of those resources…God has been waking me and other leaders in our church up in the middle of the night to pray over our church and our community.  This week I will be talking about “Push through the Fear”. You don’t want to miss it!

We believe by the end of March we will see many barriers broken, many strongholds overcome, and a brand new enthusiasm in our relationship with God. We are believeing God for much more than 300 on Easter Sunday…we are believing more lives will be transformed on that single day than any other day in Seymour history! Go God! Below is the back of our invite cards:

Crazy About Dana

Today, however, I want to give you a list of why I am Crazy About My Wife. We have such an intense love and I cherrish her with all that I have. I can’t begin to express how much I love her but here are a few things that stand out:

1. Her love for me is unconditional and unending.

2. Her spirit is gentle and giving.

3. Her ability to “let it go” never ceases to amaze me.

4. Her simple perspective toward the world humbles me. Read the rest of this entry »

Crazy About Community

Here are a few pics from set-up and rehearsal of our “Crazy Love” set design. We decided to pick the craziest decade (the 70’s) and just have fun. We have lava lamps from our entry and Black bear Cafe’ – to our stage and Summit Kidz area. They are everywhere! You can’t see it real good in the pics, but the 10′ screen that is center stage, is a 10 foot motion loop lava lamp. We also crank-up the disco ball and bouncing lights for worship.

The auditorium is about 80 years old and we really struggle with lighting and electrical outlets, but in the end it always comes together. Scott and the band were off this charts this week. The highlight was when Scott busted-out some James Taylor, “You’ve Got a Friend”! Read the rest of this entry »
