How do we worship God?
With All I Am (By Hillsong)
This is a time of Worship. As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, let us lift Him up. This is a great video by Hillsong to do just that!

God so loved…
John 3:16 really tells the Christmas story better than any other single Bible passage. God loved the world so much, He gave His one and only Son as the best present ever. He gave us His life, His forgiveness, His mercy, patience and grace. God gave us everything we could have ever wanted.
As a father, I really do love to give my kids whatever their hearts desire. However, because I love them and I know what’s best for them…I don’t. I want them to have the best, but as their father, I really do know what’s best for them. God has the same desires for us AND He gave us the very best when he showed His supreme love by giving us Jesus.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, NIV).
Merry Christmas

Time for Blogging
I struggle with blogging. I do it to have an online journal, really I do it to share lessons and opportunities to teach. Lately though I have struggled with the time, and when I do have the time I have so many things running through my mind, I can’t seem to get anything on paper. Thanks for checking-out my blog. Maybe I will get my thoughts in order rather quickly and get on a roll once again.

The Relationship of Worship (1 of 5)
Psalms 9:1-2, “I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart. I will tell all the miracles you have done. I will be happy because of you; God Most High, I will sing praises to your name” (NCV).
Worship is the most intimiate time we can have with the God of this universe. The God we will spend eternity with and the God who saved us because of His loving grace and compassionate mercy. Yet, in 2,000 years, we still struggle with this most divine privilege. We struggle for the right words, for the right things to say and for the right way to say them.
God said that He seeks those who are His, to worship Him in spirit and truth. So remember, worship is not polished, perfect or educated…it’s just honest. It comes from an honest expression of your relationship with God. I have found that marriages can reveal this honesty in the way one spouse adores, speaks or honors the other in private and public. If a spouse publicly criticizes, puts down, or makes fun of the other, that marriage is usually in deep trouble. There is no adoration! No respect! No intimacy! They are not actively engaged in their relationship….there is no worship. I tell you, the longer I know my wife, the more I love her. I respect my wife Dana more than any other woman I know. She has such a loving and forgiving heart that I want to share it with everyone. I brag on her, love on her and want to spend time with her.
It is the same with God. The more we get to know Him, love Him and adore Him, the more we will want to shout it from the mountain tops. Worship is honest! And it can only come from a real and active relationship!
What is your favorite part of worship? Have you found it easier to worship when you are active in your relationship with God? When do you struggle with worship?
