A Long Week, But It’s A Good Friday!
I am sorry that I have been obviously absent from the blogosphere this week. It has been a long week. I have an ominous sinus and ear infection. It is really messing with my head, making me dizzy, nauseous and even breaking-out in cold sweats. Just makes you feel plain “yucky”. If that wasn’t enough, Dana has pneumonia. What I am experiencing is nothing compared to my poor wife. I had no idea pneumonia was so painful. She has been confined to bed and she has no desire to exit the dark room that offers little relief.
Soooo, I have been trying to occupy the kids, keep Brandon away from Dana, color Easter eggs, plan a good holiday weekend for the kids, cook, clean and work, I know, I know…whaaaa. We are also trying to gear –up for the Easter weekend at UpRising with a full day of activities on Saturday. To say the least, it has been a long week.
But with all that said, it is a Good Friday. Why? Because we are children of the King. We celebrate this day the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No matter what happens in our lives, we are assured of eternal life because Jesus paid the price for our sins on that dark and painful cross. He died for us, so if we believe and receive, we will have life. Weeks may be long, but today is Good Friday, because eternity is even longer.
